Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP 2035)
The City of Maitland’s 2035 Comprehensive Development Plan is a new blueprint for the city’s future, bringing together interconnected neighborhoods, multimodal transportation solutions, and “smart” redevelopment options. With a goal of remaining a model community that is regionally competitive, the bold, yet flexible plan supports an emerging downtown, maintains a high-quality suburban community experience, and protects cornerstones of the City such as its parks, lakes, and other natural resources.
City Council unanimously adopted the Maitland 2035 Comprehensive Development Plan in March of 2019. The plan reflects the community's long-term vision and sets for the framework for the City's Land Development Code, the regulatory document which implements the vision.
Land Development Code (LDC)
The Land Development Code is the City's regulatory document which provides the rules and regulations for development and redevelopment within the incorporated City boundary.
Please be advised, on February 28, 2022, the City adopted a new Land Development Code, which is more intuitive and adaptive to the City's changing development patterns. You can now access the newly adopted Land Development Code portion of our Code of Ordinances.
